Drafty AI vs Docketwise is a comparison that needs reframing before it is useful, because the two products are not substitutes. Docketwise is case management built around government forms. Drafty AI is a drafting platform for the documents that go alongside those forms. Most firms asking this question are really asking which one covers the work they are still doing by hand.
Two Different Layers of the Same Filing
Take an I-601A package. Part of it is forms: the I-601A itself, the supporting government paperwork, fields populated from what the client told you at intake. The rest is written: a hardship brief that argues extreme hardship to a qualifying relative, declarations from the client and family members, an exhibit index tying evidence to each element, a cover letter.
Those two halves are produced completely differently. A form is fields, and filling it correctly is a data problem. A brief is argument, and writing it is a drafting problem. A tool that solves one does not automatically solve the other.
What Docketwise Automates
Forms, primarily, and the case administration around them. None of that comes out of an intake questionnaire, because none of it is field data. It is the part of the filing that carries the argument, and in most firms it is the part that eats evenings and weekends.

That is data capture and client correspondence, both useful and both adjacent to drafting without being it. Do You Need Both?
Many firms run both, and there is no conflict in doing so. If Docketwise already handles your forms, intake and deadlines, nothing here suggests moving off it.
