Drafty AI vs Docketwise is a comparison that needs reframing before it is useful, because the two products are not substitutes. Docketwise is case management, the place a firm completes forms, stores case data and runs client communication. Drafty AI is a case preparation platform, built for the evidence work and legal documents that go alongside those forms. Most firms asking this question are really asking which one covers the work they are still doing by hand.
Case Management and Case Preparation Are Different Work
Take an I-601A package. Part of it is forms, meaning the I-601A itself and the supporting government paperwork, populated from what the client told you at intake. The rest is case preparation, meaning working out which evidence proves extreme hardship to a qualifying relative, then building the hardship brief, the declarations from the client and family, an exhibit index tying evidence to each element, and a cover letter.
Those two halves are produced completely differently. A form is fields, and filling it correctly is an administrative problem. A case is evidence and argument, and preparing it is legal work. A tool built for one does not automatically handle the other.
