DraftyAI bills the way immigration firms actually work — by the attorneys and staff on your team and the matters you take on. With Drafty Flex, you build your own plan around your seats (team members) and your monthly matter volume, with no per-document fees once a matter is open.
How We Bill You
Your billing is based on two components:
- Seats: Each person on your team who logs in — attorney or paralegal — is one seat. Your first seat is included in the base plan.
- Cases per month: A shared pool across your team. One "case" = one client matter (e.g., one I-130 family petition, one I-589 asylum filing, one EB-2 NIW petition). Once you draft on a matter, you've used one case from your monthly pool. Inside that matter, draft as much as the case demands — declarations, legal briefs, RFE/NOID responses, cover letters, exhibit lists — at no additional charge.
You're charged once per matter, ever — when you first draft on it. A second attorney or paralegal working the same matter consumes no additional case.
Plans
DraftyAI is a build-your-plan calculator (Drafty Flex), not a set of fixed tiers — so a two-attorney boutique and a high-volume removal-defense practice each pay for what they actually run.
- Your plan starts at $250/month, which includes your first seat and your first 10 cases.
- Add seats for $100/month each as your team grows.
- Add cases as you grow: your first 10 cases are $25 each (these make up the $250 base), and every case after that is $10 each.
- Yearly billing locks in 2 months free ($2,500/year for the base plan).
Worked example: a 35-case month is the $250 base + 25 extra cases × $10 = $500/month.
The plan builder caps at 25 seats and 500 cases. Firms larger than ~10 seats or ~100 cases/month should book an Enterprise plan-design call.

Adding Team Members
Each additional team member beyond your first seat costs $100/month. Whether you're adding an associate, a paralegal, or a legal assistant, all team members share your firm's monthly case pool — it's not multiplied per person. See Managing Your Account for how to add users.
What Happens If You Go Over?
Filing seasons aren't uniform. If your team opens more matters than your plan includes, we'll notify you — each case beyond your first 10 is billed at $10. You can adjust your case allowance anytime through your plan settings, and we'll prorate the cost.
Billing Period
Choose monthly or yearly billing when you set up your plan. Yearly plans lock in two months free for the full year. You can change your billing period anytime; we'll prorate the difference on your next invoice. Month-to-month or annual billing — cancel anytime, and you keep access through the end of your paid period.
Free Trial
New accounts start with a 4-day Test Drive (2 free cases, no credit card) — enough to run a real matter from your own file and judge the first draft for yourself. When you add a card you begin a 7-day free trial on the plan you build — no charge until the trial ends.
Managing Your Subscription
All billing and subscription management happens through our billing portal (powered by Chargebee). You can:
- Change your plan (adjust cases or seats)
- Update your payment method
- View invoices and payment history
- Download receipts
- Cancel your subscription

Important: You're in Control
We charge transparently based on what you use. We'll notify you before any overage. You can adjust seats and cases mid-month, and we'll prorate your invoice accordingly. Month-to-month or annual billing — cancel anytime, and you keep access through the end of your paid period.
