Managing Your Account

Your DraftyAI account lives in your Settings, where you can manage your firm's team, billing, and subscription all in one place.

Your Account Dashboard

The Subscription section shows you at a glance:

• Current plan and price — what you're paying and when it renews
• Seats used / allowed — how many team members are active vs. available
• Cases used / allowed — your case budget for this billing period
• Renewal date — when your subscription renews and your next invoice is due

Adding Team Members

Go to Settings → Subscription → Users to invite attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to your firm account.

1. Click Add user
2. Enter their email address
3. Choose their role: Attorney or Support Staff
4. Decide what they can see (firm-wide access or user-scoped)
5. Send the invite — they'll receive a sign-up link

Each additional team member uses one seat. Your base plan includes your first seat; additional seats are $100/month each. Everyone you add draws from the same firm-wide monthly case budget.

Managing Permissions

From the Users table, you can grant or revoke:

• Admin: Full firm access, can manage users and modify settings
• Billing admin: Can view subscription, change plans, update payment method (owner-only grant)
• Active/Inactive: Temporarily disable a user without deleting them

Owners can also reset a user's password or delete a user entirely (the seat becomes available immediately).

Updating Your Billing

DraftyAI uses Drafty Flex, a build-your-plan model. Your plan starts at $250/month, which includes your first seat and your first 10 cases. Add seats ($100/month each) and cases as you grow — the first 10 cases are $25 each (the $250 base), and every case after that is $10. Yearly billing locks in 2 months free. The plan builder caps at 25 seats and 500 cases; firms larger than roughly 10 seats or 100 cases/month should book an Enterprise plan-design call.

Go to Settings → Subscription → Plan to:

• Adjust your plan — add or reduce seats and cases (we prorate mid-month changes)
• Switch between monthly and yearly — lock in 2 months free with yearly
• Build your plan — use the calculator to set your seats and cases

Go to Settings → Subscription → Payment to:

• Update your credit card — securely tokenized by Chargebee
• Open the billing portal — full control of invoices, receipts, and subscription details

Checking Your Usage

The Overview tab at the top of Subscription shows your current usage:

• Seats: Color-coded meter showing how many team members are active
• Cases: Progress bar showing cases used vs. your monthly allowance

If you're approaching your limit during a busy filing stretch, add to your case allowance before you hit the cap. You can increase it anytime, and we'll prorate the cost.

Invoices and Payment History

Go to Settings → Subscription → Invoices to:

• View all past invoices and payment dates
• Download receipts for accounting
• See prorated charges from mid-month plan changes

Canceling Your Subscription

DraftyAI offers month-to-month or annual billing — cancel anytime from the Plan tab, and you keep access through the end of your paid period. You can reactivate before that date if you change your mind.

Privacy & Security

Payment information is never stored on DraftyAI servers — all card data is tokenized and handled by Chargebee, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Your firm's data and client documents are private to your firm and transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections. For full details, see the Security & Privacy page.
